Vice President H.E. Jessica Alupo Presides Over SLAU's 14th Graduation Ceremony

Uganda’s Vice President, H.E. Jessica Alupo, presided over the 14th graduation ceremony of St. Lawrence University Uganda at the main campus in Rubaga, Kampala — a landmark occasion celebrating hundreds of new graduates.

St. Lawrence University Uganda (SLAU) held its 14th graduation ceremony on 22nd February 2024 at the main campus in Mengo, Rubaga Division, Kampala. The event was graced by Uganda’s Vice President, H.E. (Rtd.) Major Gen. Jessica Alupo, who also serves as Chancellor of the University.

The ceremony brought together hundreds of graduating students from across all faculties, joined by proud families, faculty members, and distinguished guests. Graduates were conferred degrees, diplomas, and certificates in fields ranging from Information Technology and Business Administration to Education and Social Sciences.

In her address, the Vice Chancellor highlighted the University’s commitment to producing graduates equipped not just with academic knowledge, but with entrepreneurial and practical skills that respond to Uganda’s development needs. Graduates were urged to become agents of change — professionals who light their candles and illuminate their communities.

The 14th graduation was a celebration of years of hard work, resilience, and dedication. SLAU continues to mark its place among Uganda’s leading private universities with a growing alumni network making impact across East Africa and beyond.
