St. Lawrence University Celebrates with Angels' Choir at 35 Years Jubilee

St. Lawrence University (SLAU) has today joined the Christian community of Holy Family Catholic Sub-Parish, Kawempe, to celebrate 35 years of grace and service of the Angels' Choir. The colourful thanksgiving celebration held at Holy Family Catholic Church was graced by Mr. Mabira Simon Peter, the Dean of Students, who represented the University as the Guest of Honour. He was accompanied by Mr. Aaron Magezi, Head of Marketing, and Mr. Ssali Andrew, Director of Finance.
In his keynote address as Guest of Honour, Mr. Mabira congratulated the Choir upon reaching the historic milestone, commending them for 35 years of dedicated service, evangelisation through music, and nurturing young talent in faith and discipline. He noted the strong bond between the University and the Sub-Parish, with many Old Boys and Old Girls of the Choir being part of the SLAU fraternity.
University Contribution
St. Lawrence University extended financial support of UGX 2,500,000 towards the Choir's activities and anniversary celebrations.
As a gesture of support and appreciation for the Choir's contribution to spiritual growth and community development, the contribution was handed over by the Dean of Students on behalf of the University Management.
Mr. Mabira further reaffirmed the University's commitment to partnering with faith-based institutions in building morally upright and skilled citizens for national development.
The University Management congratulates Angels' Choir upon this great achievement and wishes them more years of impactful service in the Lord's vineyard.
