St. Lawrence University Uganda holds its 15th graduation ceremony — a powerful celebration of the academic achievements of hundreds of graduates who now join a distinguished alumni community spanning East Africa and beyond.
St. Lawrence University Uganda (SLAU) marked another milestone in its history with the 15th graduation ceremony, conferring degrees, diplomas, and certificates upon hundreds of deserving graduates across all faculties.
The ceremony, held at the main campus in Mengo, Rubaga, Kampala, was a joyous occasion attended by graduates, families, faculty, senior university officials, and distinguished guests from government and industry.
Graduates from the Faculty of Business and Management Studies, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Education each processed in academic regalia to receive their qualifications — the culmination of years of study, sacrifice, and determination.
Keynote speakers at the ceremony urged graduates to embrace an entrepreneurial mindset, remain lifelong learners, and give back to the communities that supported their academic journeys. The University’s motto, ‘Light Your Candle,’ resonated deeply throughout the event.
SLAU’s growing alumni network now spans over 20 countries, with graduates contributing to Uganda’s development in technology, education, healthcare, business, public service, and beyond. The 15th graduation is a testament to the University’s enduring commitment to transformative, accessible, and quality higher education.
